The revenue operating system

Six tools' worth of revenue work. One system that runs it.

Groundwork finds the people ready to buy, reaches out, follows up, runs and measures the ads, watches every customer after the sale, and keeps one record from the first anonymous visit to renewal. Set it up once; it runs on its own inside the rules you set. We built it. We run our companies on it.

The problem

Your CRM recorded what happened. After the lead went cold.

The stack a revenue team runs on was built one tool at a time. Six tools, six records of the same customer, thirty to sixty thousand dollars a month in subscriptions and the people hired to run them, and every sequence waiting for someone to press go. Groundwork is one record and one system, and it doesn't wait.

How it works

Watch a signal become revenue.

A real sequence of events, the way Groundwork handles it. Signal, understand, act, measure. No one touched it until the call.

  1. Signal detected A founder posts on Reddit: "HubSpot is too expensive for a team our size." Groundwork reads it, with the thread.
  2. Understood ICP fit: seed-stage B2B, three-person revenue team. Context: competitor named, pricing pain. Next action: personal outreach with the source.
  3. Sequence fired A two-line email that quotes the post and offers the cost comparison. Inside the rules: first touch, no active conversation, not a customer.
  4. Reply "Ha, yes. What does Groundwork cost?" The sequence stops. The owner is notified. A same-day task is created.
  5. Call booked From the task, not from memory. The record already shows the Reddit thread, the pricing page visits, and the ad click from last week.
  6. Closed-won Traction plan. The record moves from pipeline to customer without a hand-off; post-sale watching starts the same hour.
  7. Revenue attributed Reddit signal + Meta ad + founder's own call. Not an MQL. A number the board can read.

The platform

Six revenue functions. One record. One system.

Not six tools bolted together. Each function reads the same record and writes back to it, so the handoffs that used to happen in someone's inbox happen in the system.

01 · Marketing and prospecting

Detect the trigger. Fire the right sequence. Measure the ad to revenue.

Watches
  • Website visits, pricing and case-study pages
  • Ads and the Meta data behind them
  • LinkedIn, Reddit, G2, Crunchbase, X
Does
  • Fires a sequence on the signal, with the source quoted
  • Runs campaigns and attributes spend to closed revenue, not clicks
  • Stops the moment the person replies, books, or opts out
One record

From the first anonymous visit to renewal. One identity the whole way.

Most tools stop at closed-won. Groundwork keeps watching, which is why the retention and expansion numbers live on the same record as the first ad click.

Autonomous, inside your rules

It runs on its own. You decide the lines it never crosses.

Set the rules once. Groundwork fires what it's allowed to fire, holds what it isn't, and tells a named person about the ones that matter. Try the switches.

Never enroll customers or closed-lost Prospecting sequences skip anyone who already said yes or no.

What the old stack costs

Six subscriptions, and the people hired to run them.

Put in what you pay today, in tools and in people. The defaults are published list prices and a loaded cost of $7,500 a month per revenue hire. Estimates, not quotes.

Published 2026 list prices; $7,500 a month is a loaded cost for a mid-level revenue hire. Groundwork still needs one person who owns the number; we count that person on both sides. Your figures will differ.

Two ways to run revenue

Keep running the stack. Or run on Groundwork.

The stack isn't just subscriptions. It's the people hired to run them: someone to prospect, someone to run the campaigns, someone to keep the CRM honest, someone to watch the customers. Groundwork is built so one person can run revenue end to end, and you hire salespeople when the pipeline says so, not before.

Keep running the stack

  • Six tools, six records of the same person
  • Sequences that wait for someone to press go
  • Ad reports that end at the click
  • Nobody watches the customer after close
  • Partner deals tracked in a spreadsheet, if at all
  • $5,000 to $7,000 a month in tools before the first hire
  • An SDR, a marketing manager, a CRM admin, a CSM: $25,000 to $55,000 a month more
  • A person spends Fridays reconciling
What it costs, a small team $30,000 to $60,000 a month, tools and people, before the first enterprise deal. Estimate.

Run on Groundwork

  • One record, from the first anonymous visit to renewal
  • Signals fire the sequence, inside the rules you set
  • Ad spend attributed to closed revenue
  • Risk flagged with the reason, before the surprise
  • Every partner touch tied to the deal it moved
  • One person who owns the number, and the system does the rest
  • Hire the sales team when the pipeline earns it
  • Fridays back
What it costs From $699 a month plus the one person you already are. Inside a GroundedPath program, we install it and stay.

Day zero to day thirty

Connected in a day. Running on its own in a month.

Day 0 Connect

Email and calendar, your contact list or CRM export, the website tag, the ad accounts, billing. We connect it with you in a day.

Week 1 Signals live

The record fills itself. You see who's researching, who's quiet, who's at risk. Nothing fires yet.

Weeks 2 to 4 Rules, then sequences

You set the lines. The first sequences run with the owner watching. The numbers start.

Day 30 Running on its own

Signals fire actions. The owner gets notified on what matters. Fridays come back.

Who builds it

Built by the team that needed it.

GroundedPath AI is an engineering team in Jacksonville Beach that builds companies. We built Groundwork because we watched good leads die in an inbox, and we run SOPHIE and our own revenue on it every day. We keep building it, and we install it in every program.

Lay the groundwork. Before the burn. Before the churn.

Straight answers

The questions people ask on the first call.

What is Groundwork, in one sentence?

A revenue operating system: one customer record from the first anonymous visit to renewal, signals from more than a dozen sources, sequences that fire on the signal, ads and campaigns measured to closed revenue, and post-sale watching, running on its own inside rules you set.

Do I still need HubSpot, Apollo, Clay, or GoHighLevel?

No. Groundwork does the work those tools split between them, on one record. Most teams run it alongside the old stack for a few weeks, starting with one function, then retire the subscriptions. If part of your current stack works, we keep it running until the switch is clean.

"Runs on its own." What does a person still do?

Sets the rules, takes the calls, and reads the numbers. The system fires what it's allowed to fire and holds what it isn't. A named owner is notified on anything hot, at risk, or over the threshold you set. Every action is on the record.

Who owns the data?

You do. Your contacts, your signals, your record. Export it any time. If you leave, it goes with you; data is kept 30 days after cancellation, then deleted.

What does it connect to?

Email and calendar, your CRM or a contact list, your website, ad accounts (Meta and Google), billing and invoicing, product analytics (Pendo and similar), and the public sources it watches: LinkedIn, Reddit, G2, Crunchbase, X. Inside a GroundedPath program, we engineer the connections to phones, field service software, and practice systems on top.

How long until it's running?

Connected in a day. Signals live in week one. Rules and the first sequences in weeks two to four. Running on its own by day 30.

Do I need GroundedPath to install it?

Yes. Groundwork comes with the program around it. We connect it to the systems you already run, set the rules with you, run the first sequences with the owner watching, and stay to keep the numbers honest. The setup is what decides whether a revenue system works, so we don't hand it over in a box.

Can my agency keep running ads through it?

Yes. The agency runs the campaigns; Groundwork measures them to closed revenue and runs the follow-up. Most owners find they need the agency for less once they can see which ads produce customers.

What does it cost?

The platform is $299, $699, or $1,499 a month, month to month, and it's included in every GroundedPath program. The program that installs and runs it is priced on that program's page. Usage on your own accounts is never marked up.

Is there a free trial or a self-serve version?

No. Not because it can't run on its own; running on its own is the point. Because the first thirty days decide whether it works for you: the connections, the rules, the first sequences. We run that with you. Book a demo and we'll connect it to your data first, so what you see is your own record, not sample rows.
