Prove what your AI product does

Have the answers your buyers ask for.

You sell software with AI in it. Before they sign, your buyers ask what it does with their data, what it can do on its own, and what happens when it's wrong. The answers exist, scattered across docs, tickets, and people's heads. We get them organized, in the shape buyers and assessors expect, so the question stops stalling the deal.

Evidence, organized.

Not a certificate. Not a promise. What you support, shown.

Sound familiar?

The deal was done. Then the security questionnaire arrived.

"They sent 140 questions. Half of them are about the AI. Our answers are in six places."

What's going on: you have the evidence. Nobody has put it in one place, in their language.

"Their security team asked what the model can do without a human. We didn't have a written answer."

What's going on: the rules exist in code and in your head. Buyers need them on paper.

"Every enterprise deal pulls our best engineer off the roadmap for a week."

What's going on: there's no owner and no reusable set of answers, so sales goes to engineering every time.

The questions they ask

Six questions. Every buyer asks some version of them.

Security teams, procurement, assessors, and acquirers all want the same six things. Most AI products can answer them. Few can show them.

Data
Where does our data go?
They ask Who sees it, where it's stored, which vendors touch it, and what leaves your systems. You show Data-flow map, access rules, vendor list, retention policy.
Training
Does the AI learn from our data?
They ask Whether customer data trains any model, yours or a provider's, and how that's enforced. You show Provider terms, your written policy, the setting that proves it.
Autonomy
What can it do on its own?
They ask Which actions the AI takes without a person, which need approval, and what it never does. You show Rules written down, the approval points, a record of actions.
Testing
How do you know it works?
They ask How you test before release, how you catch drift, what "good" means. You show Test suite, release checklist, the numbers you watch.
Failure
What happens when it's wrong?
They ask How a mistake is caught, who is told, how it's fixed, and how you prove it won't repeat. You show Review rules, incident log, the fix history.
Ownership
Who is responsible?
They ask A named person for security, a named person for the AI, and how a buyer reaches them. You show Roles, contacts, and how decisions get made.

What this is, and isn't

Not a certificate. Not a policy binder. Evidence, organized.

  • × A certification we sell you. If you need SOC 2 or ISO, we'll say so and point you to the people who do that.
  • × A folder of policies written by a template, that nobody in your company has read.
  • × A promise that your product is "secure" or "compliant." We don't say things we can't show.
  • ✓ A map of what buyers ask, what you have, and where the gaps are.
  • ✓ The evidence pulled into one place, in the shape security teams and assessors expect.
  • ✓ The gaps closed where we can close them: written rules, approval points, a record of what the AI did.
An evidence map: what buyers ask, what you have, and the status of each
How it works

Talk. Map. Build.

The first step is free. The rest is priced after we've seen your product, because every product and every buyer is different.

Step 1 · Talk
A conversation
Free

What you sell, who's asking, and what you have today. Bring the last questionnaire that stalled a deal. We tell you what's missing and what we'd do first.

An hour. If we're not the right fit, we tell you who is.
Step 2 · Map
Evidence map
Scoped after the call

We go through the product and the evidence with your team. You get the map: every question buyers ask, what you have, what's missing, and what to do about each one.

You give us: access to the product, the docs, and an hour with the people who built it.
Step 3 · Build
Close the gaps
Priced from the map

We write what needs writing, set the rules in the product where they belong, and put the record in place. Then the answers are reusable, and sales stops pulling engineering into every deal.

Optional. Some teams take the map and do it themselves.

What you walk away with

Four things buyers can hold.

1
The map

Every question buyers ask, what you have, where the gaps are. One page your whole team can read.

2
The answers

Written once, in the buyer's language, reusable on every questionnaire. Sales sends them without asking engineering.

3
The rules

What the AI does alone, what a person approves, what it never does. Written down and set in the product.

4
The record

What the AI did, when, and who approved it. The thing an assessor asks for and most products can't produce.

Then what

Once the evidence exists, the deal gets shorter.

The first questionnaire takes weeks. The tenth should take an afternoon. And when a buyer's security team is satisfied, they tend to tell the next one.

1
The map

You know exactly what you have and what you don't.

Weeks
2
The answers

Reusable. Sales stops interrupting engineering.

Month one
3
The product

Rules and a record built in, so the evidence stays true as you ship.

Months two to six
4
The next step

If you need a formal certification or an outside assessment, you walk in ready, and we introduce you.

When you're ready
For the security community

Send us the product team. We'll send you the security work.

If you're a CISO, a vCISO, an MSSP, an assessor, or a compliance consultant, you meet AI product teams who can't answer your questions yet. Send them here. When a client of ours needs the work you do, we send them to you. We don't do audits, certifications, or managed security, and we don't pretend to.

Questions people ask

The honest answers.

Do you certify our product?
No. We don't issue certifications, run audits, or attest to anything. We get your evidence organized and your gaps closed so that when you go to the people who do, you walk in ready. If you need a SOC 2, an ISO 27001, or a formal AI assessment, we'll say so and introduce you.
Who is this for?
Software and AI products selling to companies with a security review in the buying process. If your buyers are consumers or very small businesses, you probably don't need this yet.
Why isn't there a price?
Because we haven't seen your product. A six-person startup with one model and a two-hundred-person company with AI in four products are not the same job. The first conversation is free. The map is scoped on that call, and the build is priced from the map.
Why GroundedPath for this?
This team founded Start Left, a security company, and built the tooling that turns engineering evidence into something a reviewer can read. We've sat on the vendor side of security reviews and on the side asking the questions. And we build AI products ourselves, so we know where the real answers live.
What do you need from us?
Access to the product, the docs you have (however messy), and an hour with the people who built it. Bring the last questionnaire that stalled a deal; it's the best starting point there is.
Will this slow down our roadmap?
Less than the deals already are. The point is to get engineering out of the questionnaire loop. Most of the work is ours; your team's time is a few hours up front.
Can you work with our existing security partner?
Yes, and we'd rather. We do the AI-product side: what it does, what it touches, what it can do alone, how it's controlled and recorded. Your security partner does the rest. We send work their way too.

Tell us what you sell, and who's asking.

An hour on the phone. You tell us what the product does and what your buyers are asking. We tell you what's missing, what we'd do first, and whether we're the right people for it. If you need a certification or an audit instead, we'll say so and introduce you.

A person reads every form and replies within one business day. Your information is never sold or shared.

Show them what it does. Then go close the deal.
